Hello, my name is Annette (Toni) Sims. I am beginning my 20th year at Gaston Elementary School. I began my career at Gaston after graduating from Jacksonville State University in 2005. I received my Master's in School Counseling in 2012. I first began teaching as a Reading Intervention/Reading Recovery teacher for 3 years. From there I began teaching in a classroom where I taught first and second grade.

This year I am excited to begin my fourth year serving as the Elementary School Counselor. My goal as counselor is to meet the social, emotional and learning needs of the students and to help them be successful in school and in life. I am looking forward to serving the students at Gaston and am truly blessed to be a part of the Gaston Community!

I also have an amazing daughter named Jessica, three beautiful grandchildren, Ben, Charlotte and Ella, and two dogs, Ozzy and Daisy.
