Hello and welcome to the 2018-2019 school year. I am very excited to be teaching fifth and sixth grade math and sixth grade language, social studies, and skills this year. I am looking forward to a wonderful school year.

In December 2008, I graduated from Jacksonville State University with a Bachelor of Science in Education. I graduated summa cum laude with special honors in Elementary Education. While working toward my teaching degree, I was a substitute teacher at Gaston School. For my first two years I was a Class Size Reduction Teacher for the Etowah County School system. During the 2009-2010 school year, I taught sixth grade at Duck Springs Elementary School and during the 2010-2011 school year I taught third grade at Gaston School. For the next two years I taught third grade at John S. Jones Elementary School. In the fall of 2013, I was very happy to return "home" to Gaston School. I was honored to be named Gaston Elementary Teacher of the Year for the 2015-2016 school year. I graduated from the University of Alabama with my Master of Arts in Elementary Education degree on August 5, 2017.

I have been married to Lee “Will” Hall for twenty-two years and we have two beautiful children. Our daughter, Leslie, is a senior at Jacksonville State University, and our son, Josh, is a freshman at Gadsden State Community College. We also have four dogs: Baylor,  Lily, Memphis, and Lizzy and three cats: Whiskers, Daphne, and Big Man.

One of my favorite hobbies is reading.  I also enjoy running. One interesting fact about me is that I am an “Air Force Brat” and grew up moving around the world. I attended schools in Georgia, South Carolina, Okinawa, and the Philippines before graduating from Bitburg American High School in Bitburg, Germany.

I would like to thank you in advance for allowing me the pleasure of teaching your children this year. It is an honor to be a part of the faculty of Gaston School, and I look forward to a wonderful and productive year with your children. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns that you may have. You may reach me by calling the school office at (256) 622-1073, by sending a note with your child, or by e-mail.
